Herkimer Diamond Necklace

Handmade necklace with brilliand and sparkly rough Herkimer diamonds. Although they are called so, these stones are not actually diamonds at all. They are a form of quartz crystals that began forming 500 million years ago, having a diamond-like shape. These crystals are magnificient works of nature, found in the rock in the region of Herkimer, New York. Tied together with waxed cotton cord, it closes with a pretty gold plated horseshoe.
