Easter Candle Red - Sea Urchin with Evil Eye
In Greece, Orthodox Christians, carry ornately decorated candles (called Lampades) on Holy Saturday in celebration of the Resurrection of Christ. A godparent traditionally gives their godchild an Easter lampada, every year. This piece is decorated with ribbons and a real sea urchin (painted white) with a shell evil eye. The evil eye symbol, "Mati" in Greek, is considered to have the power to protect from negative energy, misfortune and envy.
Each piece is truly unique, minor differences may occur as it is 100% handmade.
